Building a Strong Brand Identity for a Postgraduate Diploma in UX Research

DIUXR is a postgraduate diploma program offered by the University of Belgrano in Argentina. Launched in 2019, it has rapidly gained momentum in the field of UX research. In addition to its flagship diploma program, DIUXR offers a range of complementary products and services, including expert-led webinars, online courses and workshops.

Their mission is empowers students and professionals alike to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving UX landscape.

Problem

DIUXR has experienced significant growth, and the postgraduate program opens up also as a webinar series call UXR Stories but the secondary brand was conceived as another product without having in mind the root.

The founders want to create a new brand that unified both products and enable scale to other products related with the education and diffusion of the UX research practices. That’s why it’s necessary to update its visual identity to achieve consistency and modularity across all touchpoint, enabling scalability and recognition.

Objetive

The goal is achieve consistency and modularity across all brand assets, enabling scalability and adaptability for use across a wide range of media and platforms.

Process

 

The process involve the client as much as possible. We started with 3 meeting where tell me what they were thinking, what the like and not; the client also provide insight information about the students (users) and their background and future desires for the brand.

I create 3 mood boards and were discuss with the client to see in details what they like about different styles, elements, typographies, textures and colors; I let notes and from here it began the new Brand Identity.

Based on client’s feedback I create several logo concepts. that later, was discuss with client on a video call.

DIUXR and UXR Stories share the same Root of UXR, My idea was to create a unifier that allows the brand scale in any direction.

Base on a couple of different logo concepts, I develop some brand proofs with colors, styles, types and photos. After this, the client choose one.

After selected the logo concept, I started to create all the elements for a great brand identity, coherent and scalable.

I developed a visual identity and provide clear guidelines for Logos and its uses, typographies, colors, textures created from the brand and a couple of stationary elements.
